Plan for Lisk Manufacturing site in Canandaigua solidifies

Repurposing the former Lisk Manufacturing site has been talked about as a concept for over a year. Now, neighbors and city officials have a more formal, although still preliminary, plan for the 12-acre complex bordered by Gorham Street and railroad tracks along Ontario Street.

Capstone Real Estate Development LLC is proposing an ambitious mixed-use plan for apartments, office space, possibly retail and light manufacturing.
City Council is expected to schedule a public hearing on the plan at its April 20 meeting.

Members of City Council’s planned unit development committee discussed the plan Thursday. The site will have to be rezoned from its current manufacturing zoning to Planned Unit Development. The City Planning Commission will consider more detailed aspects of the plan.
