Trumansburg superintendent finalists drop out, board votes to find interim

The Trumansburg Central School District Board voted to search for an interim superintendent for the 2017-2018 school year after both of the final candidates withdrew their applications.

Final candidate Rick Moore received other offers from multiple districts and withdrew to take another position and candidate David Hamilton withdrew to pursue other options, board of education president Jane Gallagher said on Wednesday.

The district announced Moore’s withdrawal in a Facebook post on Saturday and Hamilton’s the following day. The board voted to search for the interim on Monday
