Deputies in Wayne County say a 21-year-old Clyde resident fled authorities after an investigation into a domestic incident.
Jordan P. Colbert, 21, of Clyde was charged with second-degree criminal trespass, third-degree criminal trespass, obstructing governmental administration, resisting arrest, reckless endangerment, unlawful possession of marijuana and unlawful fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle.
The arrest stems from an investigation into a domestic incident that involved Colbert and his ex-girlfriend. He allegedly went to his ex-girlfriend’s residence, got into a verbal argument with her – leaving before police arrived on scene.
Deputies later located and stopped a vehicle on Rt. 31 in Savannah, and when they attempted to take him into custody – he drove off – fleeing the scene.
The pursuit ended when Colbert crashed into a guide rail, and Colbert then attempted to flee the scene on foot. He was stopped and taken into custody though without further incident.
He was also issued a series of traffic tickets for the pursuit.
Colbert was arraigned in Savannah Town Court and remanded to the Wayne County Jail on $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 secured bond. He will answer the charges in Savannah Town Court.
