State Fair officials tell us the 25-cent milk bar, and other beloved dairy traditions, will remain the same in 2017 despite the departure of their longtime operator. The dairy group that runs the milk bar at the New York State Fair says it's pulling out because of funding issues with the Cuomo administration.
The non-profit New York State Dairy Exhibits Incorporated says it will also no longer organize the milk bar, nor the butter sculpture, dairy princess display, cheese booth, and yogurt bar. However the Fair says 25-cent milk will still happen this summer in some fashion. NYS Dairy Exhibits says that price is what forced them to leave.
