Walker, Conforto homers not enough for Mets vs. Nats

The Nationals won their seventh-consecutive game as Daniel Murphy hit a first inning grand slam and Ryan Zimmerman added a two-run shot as the Nationals topped the Mets. New York got home runs from Michael Conforto and Neil Walker. Zack Wheeler allowed the Murphy slam, then closed his start with six scoreless innings. Max Scherzer got the win, working eight innings.
