Seneca Falls man faces felony charge, plus others after burglary investigation

On Thursday at 7:14 pm the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department arrested Kenneth M. Nierenberger, 28, of Seneca Falls following a burglary investigation.

Police were called to Balsley Rd. after an apartment tenant returned home to find her apartment ransacked, items broken, and items missing.

As a result of the investigation police charged Nierenberger with the misdemeanors of criminal tampering with property, criminal mischief and petit larceny.

In addition to those charges Nierenberger was charged with felony tampering with physical evidence after he purposely hid the stolen property to prevent the police from finding it when they arrived.

Nierenberger was arraigned in the Town of Seneca Falls Court where the judge released him on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to re-appear in town court on May 4th, 2017 at 5:30 pm.

An order of protection was also issued.
