Seneca Meadows, Inc. announced that its fifteenth annual, Mulch Give-Away is scheduled for Saturday, May 20th from 7:00 to 11:00 am at its location on State Route 414.
Between three hundred and four hundred Seneca County families take part in this one-day event, lining up in pick-up trucks for their two scoops of locally purchased red or brown hardwood mulch.
“It’s become a tradition for a lot of community members, and our team knows many of them by name” said District Manager, Kyle Black. “There’s always an early morning rush of folks who want to be sure they get their preferred color. It’s a guess from year to year which color is going to be the most popular. Seneca Meadows is proud to offer a program that is so valuable to our community and supports our environment.”
The Seneca Meadows Mulch Give-Away program is organized on a first come, first served basis. Participants should bring a pick-up truck, trailer or containers for their mulch, and must show proof of residency in Seneca County. Seneca Meadows personnel will be on hand to assist those with containers. Mulch is limited to two scoops per household.
