It will be a slow process, but warmer temperatures are in sight for the Finger Lakes.
The temperature over the next few days will moderate somewhat from the very cold readings of the last few days. That being said, Wednesday morning still looks very frosty with morning lows ranging from the upper 20s to low 30s across the Finger Lakes. This will put cold-sensitive plants and agriculture at great risk.
The daytime high temperatures for Tuesday and Wednesday will top out around 50 degrees. While still well below normal, it is an improvement over the 40s of the last few days. Clouds should gradually dissipate on Tuesday before some new, mostly high thin clouds work in on Wednesday.
Thursday will be the warmest day the Finger Lakes has seen in since last week with highs topping out in the upper 50s to near 60 degrees.
Friday may get that warm as well, but rain moving in from the southwest may prevent the temperature from meeting its full potential.
