Crews begin work on city lots at Canandaigua Finger Lakes Resort site

Work has begun on cleaning up the public portion of the Canandaigua Finger Lakes Resort site, the action coming after a hot and heavy City Council meeting last week.

City Council wants the public parking lot closest to Lagoon Park and the Canandaigua Outlet cleaned up and made usable for the public in time for the spring and summer season, according to Assistant City Manager John Goodwin.

That includes moving fencing on the Lakeshore Drive side of the stalled resort project, which would free up 91 parking spaces, Goodwin said. Workers also were seen Wednesday spraying weeds in islands in other city parking areas.
