Ontario County sparkler law on the books for good

The hot weather may have you thinking of the Fourth of July, and its arrival comes just in time.

A county law dealing with the sale and use of sparkler devices was set to expire June 3, but the Ontario County Board of Supervisors has made sure the law stays on the books for good.

Supervisors on May 11th approved removing the law’s sunset clause. Unless supervisors decide to revisit the law, it will stay in place and the law now will have no expiration date on it, according to Assistant County Attorney Holly A. Adams.
