Just hours before Wednesday’s Ontario County foreclosure auction, the vacant manufacturing lot under litigation in Rushville was pulled from the list. The fate of the former Document Reprocessors site is in the courts, and at the last minute owner Eric Lundquist was granted a temporary restraining order on sale of the lot.
“We have a case,” said Lundquist, who attended the auction where the crowd overflowed into the hallway at the Ontario County Safety Training building. Twenty-seven lots were set for auction, with four under litigation. The Rushville property was the only one removed from the auction — with its sale pending the outcome of the case. Three other properties were awarded to bidders, though whether those buyers close on the purchases depends, as well, on the outcome of those cases.
