When Christine Niskanen and Richard Masters were looking for a home in Binghamton back in 2005, they took their time.
Over two years, they visited open houses and collected tipsheets for each one.
“We had a pile like this,” Masters said, holding his thumb and forefinger four inches apart while sitting in the dining room of the West Side Colonial they closed on in late 2006. “Every place we went there would be one thing that would stand out as nice but several others that weren’t so nice. Then we looked around here and said, ‘this is all right’.”
