Gavin Hall to compete in Monroe Invitational beginning today (full coverage)

There aren’t many futures in golf as bright as his… Pittsford native Gavin Hall has already played in a U.S. Open, won a Big 12 title and improved more than 20 spots in a single round at the NCAA golf championships.

The Monroe Invitational Championship (MIC) is one of the oldest amateur tournaments in the United States, dating back to 1937. Monroe Golf Club has hosted this event for 77 years. The MIC was played as a match play event until the format was changed to 72 holes at stroke play in 1998. The event was won by the current #1 ranked player in the world, Dustin Johnson, in 2007.
