Canandaigua woman arrested for stealing from Walmart, leads to drug charges

The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports that on Thursday around 3:10 pm deputies arrested a Canandaigua woman after she allegedly stole various clothing items totaling value of $37.92 from Walmart.

Deputies say Tammy J. Bickford was charged with petit larceny after she stole various items from Walmart. She was also found to be in possession of various controlled substances and pills outside of their original containers, which led to the charge of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance in non-original container.

She was arraigned in Seneca Town Court and remanded to the Ontario County Jail in lieu of $250 cash bail or $1,000 secured bond.

The charges will be answered in Hopewell Town Court at a later date.
