Their commercials promise “crystal clear” HD TV and faster internet speeds.
But there’s one thing those Spectrum TV ads airing in the Finger Lakes region don’t promise: lower prices.
Well, at least for former Time Warner customers who are now part of Spectrum.
It could be because the cable TV, internet and phone provider’s rates have been going up for a number of people since Spectrum’s parent company, Charter Communications, purchased Time Warner Cable.
The Finger Lakes Times asked readers on its Facebook page about their experience with Spectrum, and many responded, with a good portion saying their rates have gone up while quality has gone down. Many also complained about the new company’s apparent “take it or leave it” pricing philosophy.
Some are actually leaving it.
