Penfield man charged with DWI in Seneca Falls

On Sunday around 1:05 am the Seneca Falls Police Department arrested a Penfield man after he was found to be driving while intoxicated.

Edward J. Gleason, 45, was observed crossing the center line twice while traveling south on Ovid St.

During the subsequent traffic stop police discovered an expandable metal baton, which is illegal to possess. He was charged with failure to keep right, driving while intoxicated and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

He was arraigned in Seneca Falls Town Court and remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility in lieu of $750 cash bail or $1,500 secured bond.

Gleason will re-appear in court on July 12th at 9 am.
