Months after being listed for sale, Fingerlakes Mall is heading to the auction block.
According to a listing on commercial real estate website Ten-X, the Aurelius shopping center will be auctioned Monday, July 24, through Wednesday, July 26. Bids start at $1.7 million.
The auction requires a $25,000 participation deposit, and Ten-X will receive a transaction fee of 5 percent of the winning bid amount (minimum $40,000).
The 492,592-square-foot mall is owned by Siba Corporation, a New York City diamond wholesaler. Siba contracted a brokerage firm in the city, Eastern Consolidated, to sell the mall for $7 million earlier this year. Siba, Eastern Consolidated and Fingerlakes Mall General Manager Rene Patterson did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
