State police say a Wayne County woman was drunk when she was pulled over for driving recklessly on an interstate highway.
Troopers say Stacia A. Ward, 49 was pulled over around 5:20 p.m. Saturday on Interstate 81 in the town of Adams.
During the traffic stop, police noticed a strong odor of alcohol coming from Ward. While further investigating, troopers found an open container of alcohol in the front cup holder inside of her minivan.
Troopers say she was subsequently arrested and was found to have a blood alcohol content of 0.35 percent, nearly four times the legal limit of 0.08 percent.
