It was a very weird weather day in Central New York today.
The high temperature in Syracuse at dinner time was only 54 degrees. That’s more like mid-April than the first week of summer.
And hail fell so thick in some parts of Central New York it looked like snow. Residents of Barneveld and Holland Patent, in north-central Oneida County, reported pea-sized hail.
Hail also fell in Union Springs, on the east shore of Cayuga Lake.
