A former employee of the Arc of Seneca Cayuga is facing a felony charge after he allegedly stole more than $1,000 worth of items from his employer.
The Auburn Police Department said Daniel A. Pantoliano of 7 Anthony St., Union Springs, had been using an employee key fob to steal gasoline for his personal use from about January through April this year. The 28-year-old also allegedly stole items from the agency including a generator, a washing machine and a shop vacuum, which he attempted to sell online.
Police said the Arc of Seneca Cayuga had been going through some of their gas logs and found inconsistencies, which it traced back to Pantoliano. The agency filed a complaint with APD on May 8, and Pantoliano was arrested on June 27.
