Gov. Cuomo enforcing ‘No Wake Zone’ along Lake Ontario

Gov. Andrew Cuomo is deploying more resources to help the flood-ravaged Lake Ontario shoreline.

The governor announced Sunday he is sending out more than 20 boats and 42 officers from several state agencies to enforce the no wake zone.

Anyone heading out should be reminded that the speed limit is 5 miles per hour within 600 feet of shore.

Anyone who violates the speed limit could face a $250 fine.

Cuomo says with the additional resources and personnel, the state is continuing to work with local communities to protect flood affected homes, businesses and infrastructure along the shoreline.
