Victor man charged with BWI after jet ski crash

Deputies say 22-year-old Joshua Busch, of Victor was operating his 2014 Sea Doo Jet Ski with Luis Rivera, 21, of Rochester on Canandaigua Lake — when Busch lost control of the jet ski ejecting the duo.

Two boats assisted by transporting Busch and Rivera, as well as the jet ski to the Canandaigua State Boat Launch.

As result of the crash, Rivera suffered a head contusion and was treated at the scene by Canandaigua Ambulance. Busch was not injured in the wreck, but was charged with boating while intoxicated, and boating while intoxicated with a blood-alcohol content of .08 percent or higher.

He was issued appearance tickets and will answer the charges at a later date in Canandaigua City Court.
