Milling, paving to begin next week in Geneva

The City of Geneva issued an advisory to residents about upcoming milling and paving, which will take place July 10th through 14th.

Officials say the milling will happen on July 10th and 11th on High and West High streets from Brook and Reed streets, as well as Brook and North Brook streets, and Dorchester Avenue.

Weather permitting, officials say that streets will be paved beginning on Wednesday, July 12th, and will be completed by Friday, July 14th. Access to driveways will be limited during this process.

Anyone needing to get their vehicles out of a driveway – should do so before 7:30 am, according to officials – to ensure that they’re able to get out.

No vehicles will be allowed to park on the street after 7 am on those days.

In a statement the City noted, “If you need to make special arrangements for access to your drive, please call the Engineering Office at 789-3101 and explain your situation and we will do our best to accommodate your request.”

“We again apologize in advance for any inconvenience this project may cause and thank you for your continued cooperation and support in making Geneva a better place,” the statement concluded.
