An Auburn woman was arrested Tuesday for her second driving while intoxicated charge in 10 years, the Auburn Police Department said.
At around 1:30 a.m. July 4, officers allegedly stopped 55-year-old Karen A. Montesano on Van Anden Street for driving with a suspended registration. However, upon further investigation, police determined Montesano was also impaired by alcohol.
Montesano, of 47 Pulaski St. Apt. 2, was charged with driving while intoxicated and first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, both felonies. She was also charged with driving with a suspended registration, a misdemeanor, as well as driving without insurance and refusing to take a breath test, both violations.
