One of the key focus points of the new Sabres regime for the coming season is changing the culture of their American Hockey League affiliate. GM Jason Botterill and his staff have promised a renewed effort with the Rochester Americans and Amerks players at training camp say they can already feel positive change.
“Obviously Rochester’s always a priority but this year, I feel like it’s a bigger priority,” said Hudson Fasching, Amerks forward. “It’s something that Botterill has said many times. He wants to create a winning culture. I think that it shows. He’s made winning a priority, not only in Buffalo, but in Rochester, and all of that can translate to the next level. We really like that and we’re excited.”
