New York State Police are warning people to be on the lookout for a convicted rapist, violating his parole. Troopers said 33-year-old Matthew Dye was recently released from Elmira Correctional Facility and has since cut off his ankle bracelet, which violates the conditions of his release. Dye was convicted and imprisoned on a charge of first-degree rape. The last place he was known to be before he disabled the GPS ankle bracelet was on Water St. in Lyons. Anyone with information is urged to contact State Police at (315) 589-8288 or 911.
