The Seneca Lake Pure Waters Association will conduct a membership drive during August.
In an effort to increase membership, SLPWA has moved to a common membership renewal date of June 1 and simplified the membership types.
Students will be charged $10 to join. Other individuals will be charged $30 while a business membership is $50.
Membership dues, donations and grants pay for SLPWA’s water quality monitoring program and efforts to preserve Seneca Lake as a drinking water and recreation source for future generations.
Those wishing to learn more about the group can attend the 26th annual dinner meeting at 5 p.m. Aug. 23 at the Harbor Hotel in Watkins Glen. Tickets are $45 a person.
During the reception at the dinner, board members will be available to discuss the organization’s priorities, initiatives and community involvement.
