Opportunity To Ballot petitions have been submitted for the Seneca County treasurer and district attorney races.
The Opportunity To Ballot allows voters to write in the name of a candidate for a specific party in those races. They will be available for Conservative and Independence Party lines for county treasurer.
Frank Sinicropi of Seneca Falls and Edward Barto of Fayette have filed Republican Party petitions and will face off in a September primary.
Barto also filed Conservative and Independence party petitions. The Opportunity To Ballot allows Sinicropi supporters, or supporters of any other candidate, to write in their candidate’s name.
For district attorney, incumbent Barry Porsch of Seneca Falls has filed Republican and Working Families party petitions. Joseph Sapio of Fayette also has filed Republican petitions, as well as Conservative and Independence petitions.
Sapio has now filed an Opportunity To Ballot petition for the Democratic line. There will not be a Democratic Party candidate for treasurer on the ballot in November.
