Penn Yan man arrested after causing disturbance in parking lot

On Friday around 4:44 pm members of the Penn Yan Police Department arrested a 32-year-old following an incident in the Knapp Lot on Wagner St.

Police were called to the area for a male being disorderly and causing alarm. Officers arrived and observed the highly-intoxicated male, identified as Joshual M. Ralston, of Penn Yan, attempting to engage another male in an altercation.

Ralston refused to cooperate with authorities, according to police and was subsequently charged with two counts of disorderly conduct and one count of obstruction of governmental administration.

He was arraigned and remanded to the Yates County Jail in lieu of $500 cash bail.
