A company that sought to establish a medical marijuana growing facility in Seneca County has been awarded a manufacturing license, but its operation will open in another New York county.
Citiva Medical is one of five companies that have been authorized by the state Department of Health to grow and distribute medical marijuana. The agency announced the new licenses Tuesday.
According to the Department of Health, Citiva Medical’s manufacturing facility will be in Orange County. The company will have dispensaries in Chemung, Dutchess, Kings and and Richmond counties.
