Newark woman sent to Strong after Manchester crash sends truck rolling

On Thursday at approximately 3:57 pm deputies and other first responders were called to State Route 21 in Manchester for the report of a one-car accident.

Deputies say Anna Blaisdell, 57, of Newark was traveling north when she fell ill and fainted behind the well. Her vehicle then left the east shoulder of the roadway, striking a mailbox and then a guard rail.

Her vehicle then rolled over multiple times, according to deputies, and came to rest at the bottom of an embankment.

She was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital after complaining of head pain when first responders arrived on scene.

No tickets had been issued and State Route 21 was closed for a period of time as investigators combed over the scene.

The Manchester Fire Department also assisted at the scene.
