Police: Wayne County man turns violent at family gathering

Wayne County Sheriff’s deputies charged Duane Charles Davis, 52, of  Williamson, with two counts of second-degree harassment and one count of criminal obstruction of breathing.

According to deputies, during a family gathering a verbal argument broke out between Davis and his fiance at the gathering that lead to a physical altercation. Deputies said Davis shoved a guest against a wall and then placed him in a chokehold for several seconds. David the proceeded to throw his fiance down to the ground before being broken up by other family members and guests.
