Cornell’s Ryan Hill scored the only goal of the game in the 98th minute to lead the Big Red to a 1-0 victory against No. 11/13 Syracuse at the SU Soccer Stadium on Tuesday night.
“We had our opportunities tonight, we just didn’t take them,” said Syracuse head coach Ian McIntyre. “Full credit to (Cornell). They kept us off (the scoreboard). In overtime, they took their opportunity.”
Cornell’s (2-3-1) winning goal was set up by a throw in just past midfield. The ball was played to the center of the field to Tyler Bagley, who slid a pass to the left side of the box to Hill.
