Public meeting will cover Cayuga County’s government structure

Members of the public are invited to a meeting and presentation about the organizational structure of Cayuga County government.

The meeting will take place prior to the Cayuga County Legislature meeting at 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26, in Room T229 of Cayuga Community College’s Technology Building, 197 Franklin St., Auburn. The body’s meeting will follow at 6:30 p.m.

The Center for Governmental Research, a firm the county hired in June for $75,000, will begin the meeting with a presentation on what is being called the Countywide Organizational Assessment project. The group will review objectives, approach, types of information it will review and a timeline for the project, according to a county release.
