The Child Advocacy Center of the Finger Lakes will hold a Ribbon Cutting and Open House at the new Seneca County Child Advocacy Satellite Site on Thursday, September 28th, 2017.
The Child Advocacy Center of the Finger Lakes (CACFL), a program of the Partnership for Ontario County, provides a coordinated approach to child abuse investigations, bringing together all professionals involved to reduce the trauma for the child and provide better investigations.
They are the link between children victims of abuse and the services they need, such as mental health, medical and advocacy services. Seneca County investigates over 150 child physical and sexual abuse cases annually. The CACFL has provided services to more than 1800 children in Ontario County since its opening in 2008 and is proud to now be serving Seneca County as well.
The Seneca County CAC site has been made possible through a collaboration with the Seneca County Department of Social Services, Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, Seneca Falls Police Department, Waterloo Police Department, New York State Police, Seneca County District Attorney’s Office, Seneca County Mental Health Services, Family Counseling Services of the Finger Lakes, Safe Harbors of the Finger Lakes and the Child Advocacy Center of the Finger Lakes.
