Another rural school district is disciplining its students for illegal drug use. Monday, we told you the Geneseo Blue Devils were forced to forfeit their season due to allegations of OxyContin use by team members.
Friday night, we’re learning several students at Midlakes High School are in trouble for marijuana use in school.
The superintendent for the school district confirms marijuana was found on students in school last week and that a small group of students had used the drug. He says a couple of students required medical attention.
“We’re confident that we know the students involved here on campus and we’ve dealt with those students appropriately,” says Superintendent Matt Sickles. “In terms of where the drugs may have originated, that’s a police matter at this time.”
