Seneca Falls Farmers Market celebrates Cider Week

In tribute to the Fall season and Finger Lakes Cider Week, the Seneca Falls Farmers Market will feature three local cider makers throughout the market day on Wednesday, October 4th from 9 am to 1:30 pm.

Black Duck Cidery of Ovid; Lake Drum Brewing of Geneva; and Three Brothers Winery of Fayette will be at the market sampling their unique hard ciders. They will also have their ciders available for purchase so you can take some home as gifts, to sip and enjoy, or for all of your Fall gatherings.

Local sweet cider will also be available for sampling from Red Jacket Orchards, so kids are certainly welcome. The weather should be beautiful, so come relax canal side at a picnic table and sample some local goodness.

Lunch will be available from Martin’s Smokehouse with a BBQ menu that includes ribs, pulled pork, fresh-cut fries, desserts, and more.

Cornell Cooperative Extension is also bringing a real working cider press so guests can enjoy the fresh-pressed taste of apples donated by Red Jacket Orchards.

What else will you find at the Seneca Falls Farmers Market?

– Just-picked fruits and vegetables from local producers will be in full bloom.

– Local honey varieties will be available.
- Artisan goods, hand-poured candles, flowers, and hand-crafted jewelry.

- Fresh baked goods and treats will be ready to eat.

– Local maple syrup, maple popcorn, maple candies, maple sugar, and more.

There are only two market days left (October 4th and October 11th) so don’t miss out. The Seneca Falls Farmers Market is located in People’s Park along the waterfront (15 Water Street by GPS) and runs from 9am until 1:30pm.
