The National Weather Service has issued a Frost Advisory for most of the region, which includes Ontario, Wayne, Cayuga and Yates counties in the Finger Lakes.

Temperatures are expected to dip into the low- to mid-30s, which means that sensitive vegetation will be challenged. The cool down is not expected to be long-term, but will be enough to do damage if plants are left outdoors without any protection.
The Frost Advisory expires in the morning, when temperatures are expected to rise back through the 40s and push into the upper-50s by mid-day.
