Three unions announced their endorsement of Ontario County Supervisor Lou Guard in his upcoming November 7 election.
IBEW Local 840 (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers), Finger Lakes Building Trades and Civil Services Employees Association (CSEA) represent hundreds of skilled workers in the Finger Lakes region including more than 425 Ontario County Government employees.
Guard is campaigning to represent the City of Geneva’s Wards three and four.
Mike Davis, Business Manager of IBEW 840, said, “Mr. Guard’s ability to lead and make the tough decisions, as well as his steadfast commitment to the working people of our region is a true asset.”
Ontario County CSEA President Steve Healy said, “We are supporting Lou Guard’s campaign because he is highly qualified and understands one of the main strengths of Ontario County government is our dedicated, loyal workforce.”
“I am pleased to have received the support of these well respected and long standing union organizations. I look forward to working with these hard working families on important county issues that will affect life in the Finger Lakes, said Guard.
