Breast cancer survivor appears in national clothing store ads

Lynette Hauf won’t know for about two more years if her breast cancer is in complete remission, but she already considers herself a survivor.

The 41-year-old has another distinction: She is one of only three women selected for a breast cancer awareness campaign being put together by Torrid, a California-based chain that sells plus-size women’s clothing. Hauf and the other women were photographed and told their stories, and will be part of a nationwide advertising blitz.

Torrid has a retail outlet at Eastview Mall in Victor.

Hauf’s diagnosis came after a self-examination in November 2015.
