Fairport woman faces felony DWI charge in Wayne County after hitting road sign

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Fairport woman for Driving While Intoxicated following a traffic stop in the Town of Macedon.

Angel L. Ericson, 28, of Fairport, was speeding and was observed crossing over the yellow line.

Upon initiating the traffic stop her vehicle struck a road sign. Ericson attempted to give a breath sample, but was unable to complete the test due to intoxication.



A blood sample was secured at Newark Wayne Community Hospital to determine BAC.

Ericson was charged with Felony Driving While Intoxicated having a prior conviction, felony Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Operating in Violation of an Ignition Interlock Device, Speed in Zone, Moving from Lane Unsafely, Failure to Notify DMV Change of Address, and Unlicensed Operation.

Ericson was arraigned in Macedon Town Court before Judge Crowley. Ericson was remanded to jail in lieu of $2,500 bail or $5,000 insurance bond.
