Police: Canandaigua man ID’d himself as FBI, groped another resident

The Canandaigua Police Department has made an arrest after a Canandaigua man allegedly posed as law enforcement and groped another person.

On November 2nd at approximately 2:34 pm, officers arrested 45-year-old Michael T. Treese, for second-degree criminal impersonation and forcible touching.

It is alleged that on September 27th at approximately 10:30 pm, Treese went into a business in the City of Canandaigua and identified himself as a FBI agent and Canandaigua City Police Officer to another individual.

After presenting himself as a member of law enforcement, Treese is accused of performing a pat frisk search on the outside clothing of the individual. He was further accused of having touched the genitals of the person.

Treese was arraigned in Canandaigua City court and remanded to the Ontario County Jail on $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond.
