Public meeting to review Union Springs, Springport waterfront revitalization program

The village of Union Springs and town of Springport Local Waterfront Revitalization Program is taking shape, and the public is invited to learn about it and ask questions 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15 in the Union Springs High School Auditorium, 239 Cayuga St.

The meeting will focus on improvements to Frontenac Park, streetscape designs for downtown, trails and viewing areas, as well as public access to Frontenac Island, according to a release. The Cayuga County Planning Department will present an implementation program for the draft plan, and Clark Patterson Lee will present graphics and cost estimates. The program is funded in part by the state Department of State under Title 11 of the Environmental Protection Fund.
