Seneca Falls man accused of deserting U.S. Army

Seneca County Sheriff Tim Luce says a Seneca Falls man was arrested as a fugitive from justice after it was determined he had deserted his post with the U.S. Army.

Luce says Nicolas J. Blevins, 34, of Seneca Falls is accused by the U.S. Army of having deserted his assignment to the 497th Transportation Company in Fort Lewis, Washington.

A warrant for his arrest was issued by the U.S. Army and he was apprehended in the Village of Waterloo by road patrol deputies, who were assisted by investigators with the Sheriff’s Office.

Blevins was arraigned in Waterloo Town Court and remanded to the Seneca County Jail without bail.
