With leading scorer Tyus Battle icing his injured back for the last 13 minutes of the game, the Syracuse Orange pulled away for a 72-64 victory over the Toledo Rockets at the Carrier Dome on Wednesday night.
In a testament to the Orange’s willingness to fight and scrap, Syracuse defended and rebounded its way to the win. Syracuse crashed the offensive boards and turned 16 offensive rebounds into 22 second-chance points.

Most interesting things to me in tomorrow’s #Syracuse-Toledo game: Orange average 18 points per game on turnovers. Toledo one of the best in the country at not turning it over. Secondly, Luke Knapke seems like best big Orange posts will have faced so far.
