A Newark man faces multiple charges, including driving while intoxicated, after telling law enforcement he ran out of gas.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of Gary L. Reasor, 41, of Newark on charges of third-degree unlicensed operation and driving while intoxicated.
On Saturday around 1:35 am deputies were called to a suspicious condition near Miller and Marbletown roads in Arcadia where an individual was spotted at his vehicle on the side of the road near a residence.
When deputies arrived to investigate, Reasor, who was identified as the operator of the vehicle told them that he was on his way home – but ran out of gas.
Reasor was suspected of being intoxicated and had admitted to drinking earlier in the evening, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
A chemical test determined his blood-alcohol level was .11 percent.
Reasor will answer the charges at a later date.
