Yates County Airport gets grant for sewer extension

The Penn Yan-Yates County Airport is among the regional airports that will share $20.5 million in state funding through New York’s “Aviation Capital Grant Program.”

The airport will receive $421,200 to undertake an airport sanitary sewer extension.

Other regional airports that will get state funds are:

‒ Corning-Painted Post Airport: $448,200 million to construct a helicopter maintenance and storage hangar;

‒ Finger Lakes Regional Airport: $662,474 to construct a new Jet-A Fuel Farm.

The grants are used for safety, infrastructure, and economic development projects.
