Romulus Planning Board OKs Earl Martin subdivision

The town Planning Board approved a joint request from developer Earl Martin and the Seneca County Industrial Development Agency to subdivide 75 of the 7,000 acres of former Seneca Army Depot land Martin is buying from the IDA.

Martin sought the subdivision to begin the process of relocating and expanding his Seneca Iron Works business from Hoster Road in Fayette to Romulus.

The Planning Board approval came after a Jan. 8 public hearing. Planning Board members Tom Bouchard, Bill Karlsen, Sue Ellen Balouff, Mary Joslyn, Albert Nivison and Linda Meckley voted in favor. Board member Kate Sinicropi was absent.

Martin said he will present more specific information about the 75-acre parcel to the Planning Board soon.
