Finding room for the vast collections of the Geneva Historical Society is becoming a big challenge.
“We are bursting at the seams,” said Executive Director Kerry Lippincott. “Items are stored in every available space. This makes tracking and moving items for exhibits challenging. It is also does not provide the best conditions for the long-term preservation of our artifacts.”
The organization is hosting two meetings this month to seek community input on a facilities expansion project that is proposed as an answer to the dilemma. They will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 17, and at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, at the Geneva Historical Society, 543 S. Main St.
