Police: Seneca Falls man charged with burglary after stealing cash, forging check

A Seneca Falls man faces multiple charges after several theft complaints at various residences around town.

Seneca Falls Police arrested Jonathan J. Tuttle, 28, of Seneca Falls following several complaints of stolen property at different addresses in the Town of Seneca Falls.

Police say two of the incidents involve Tuttle entering locations where homeowners were not present and stealing money. The third incident, according to investigators, involved Tuttle stealing a bank check from a family member.

Tuttle is further accused of forging the family member’s name and cashing the check to receive money after the theft.

As result, he was charged with third-degree burglary, three counts of petit larceny, second-degree criminal trespass, third-degree forgery, and third-degree identity theft.

Tuttle was arraigned in Seneca Falls Town Court and committed to the Seneca County Correctional Facility in lieu of $2,500 bail.

The charges will be answered at a later date.
